I COULD STAY HERE...
We've been coming here for almost every year since 1999 and it truly has become a second home. People say you don't pick New Orleans; that she picks you. And it seems I have been bitten by this city ( as well as by hundreds of mosquitos).
It's a lot different than Seattle. First of all, they have drive-thru daiquiri shops. And all of your groceries are going to be double bagged in plastic. People spend a lot more time on their porches here. And everyone talk to everyone. And while the north is so productive and efficient, the south really knows how to soak up an afternoon. Time is different here.
Could I ever leave Seattle permanently? I'm not sure. These two cities are complimentary.
If I could just get Seattle to allow drive-thru daiquiri shops...
