BURBANK, LOS ANGELES & HUNTINGTON BEACH
We arrived in Huntington and base camp at our friends' house. From here, we did day trips up to Los Angeles to visit a studio of an artist—David Lefner— I met through Instagram and went out in search of signs. His process is called reduction linocuts. The prints come from being carved out of one block of linoleum, one color at a time until—by the time the last color is printed—the linoleum block is whittled down flat. In short, his work is amazing.
