NOVEMBER SHOW AT PRG
My newest show opened November 1, 2022 at Patricia Rovzar Gallery in Seattle and will run through November 26th. It is such an honor to show here and each new show makes me want to pinch myself.
Working towards a show is a year-long process for me and I have had three consecutive November shows here. As the painter, you have a vision for your body of work while it’s in the studio, but not until it hangs in such a space do you get to see it come to life. This is where a great gallery comes in.
The gallery looks at your work with fresh eyes. I’ve already been living with some of these paintings for almost a year. But the gallery transforms your recent delivery of stacked work into stories on the walls. Sometimes paintings are given more space and sometimes they are nested into vignettes. I am amazed every time I see the end result.
This show was no different. November is dark in Seattle. And I like showing in that month because my work has so much color, light and shadow that the contrast to the outside is very different and inviting. This gallery just has a way of making the show come alive.
We had a lovely full house of visitors for the opening. Thank you to all who came! And thank you to Patricia, Leah and Tenzin at PRG for everything you do!
